Today's E-School is on digital cameras and the
best one to get.
First you need to know what to look
for in a digital camera before you buy one.
A couple key factors that are important to know
are...
- Mega pixels, the more the better is basically
all you'll need to know. 3-4 is good.
- Removable Media. Most newer digital cameras use
compact flash or Smartmedia cards. The amount of pictures able to be held
depends on the amount of MBs the card contains. An 8mb Smartmedia card holds
about 16 pictures. The size of cards is factored by 8mb(8mb, 16mb, 24mb, 48mb,
...)
- Zoom. The higher the zoom the better. Another
important zoom spec is if its digital zoom or optical. A digital zoom doesn't
really zoom, It just stretches(if you have a picture fully zoomed it will be
pixilated). An optical zoom will zoom like a film camera.
- Battery power. Its good to get a camera with a
couple battery options(lithium batteries or 4 double AA's). Alkaline
batteries(AA's, AAA's, D) hold less power than the lithium batteries.
Round up of a couple good cameras.

x 1,536 images for prints at 8 x 10 and beyond

zoom for 6x total

P.S
...during the winter months when the time changes we will close at 5pm
Tuesday -Friday, Saturday's till 1pm and as a convenience for some we will
stay late on Monday's 9am till 7pm. I hope this will not inconvenience
anyone. We want to get the employee's home before it gets too pitch dark.
Aaron, Patti and Jake will still be able to help after 5pm for
service calls if you call in advance and setup a time for them to come. If
you have any feed back on this please let me know by emailing me at jeanhill@surfmore.net
. Also when the time changes back we will go back to normal time. I think
the time change is sometime around Holloween. The weekend of Oct
25th is when Daylight Savings Time Ends!
