Then one day the sky grew gray and storm clouds began to form,
And I found myself about to drown in the turbulence of the storm.
I heard the Captain calling as the sea churned and tossed about.
As my ship began to slowly sink, I went to my knees and cried out loud.
My God, my God, I'm lost at sea, forgive me now I pray.
The sea did calm, the Son did shine as the storm clouds rolled away. The Captain took control that day as He entered my hearts door.
He took the wheel and changed my course as we headed back to shore.
He steered me towards the harbor, in calm water we dropped the sail.
Then Jesus took my anchor, to go before me behind the veil.
He has entered in the harbor, paid my debt and keeps my soul.
Now I'm anchored in His harbor, for my Lord, the anchor, holds.
