Cherish the Memories

for my dear friend, Netty

Netty, you have been a loving wife,
As you walked beside your Bill.
God blessed of you bountifully,
As you sought to do His will.

God is still blessing you,
Though Bill is not at your side.
But your sweet memories
Will much comfort provide.

Three wonderful children
Were entrusted to your care.
You and Bill reared them well
You tended them with prayer.

Your children and grandchildren
Will be a source of pleasure.
Let them bring you love and joy.
They are God’s gift, a treasure.

Your marriage was ordained by God,
And it stood the test of time.
Challenges you faced with courage;
Together each mountain you climbed.

Now Bill is in heaven,
But you are not alone.
God’s love fills your heart,
Making His presence known.

Cherish all of the yesterdays,
But look to the future too.
Bill is with His Father,
And he will be waiting for you!

Bill and Netty would have celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on July 5, 2007.
He passed away on July 1, 2007
